Project Description Purchase and/or Rehab of locomotive(s) and rail cars for use on Music City Star service.  Prepare and
paint exterior of passenger cars to cover rusted areas and improve image of service.  Paint recently
purchased locomotive to match paint scheme of current equipment.   Rehab interiors of 30+ year old
equipment used on Music City Star service.

This amendment adds
$2,401,787.00 (federal
share) in FTA 5337 funds to
TIP #2014-85-012 in FY
2014. These are new
formula funds from the State
of Good Repair Program
apportioned in February
2014 to the Nashville-
Davidson Urbanized Area.
The State of Good Repair
(SGR) program provides
capital assistance for
maintenance, rehabilitation,
and replacement projects for
existing fixed guideway and
high intensity motorbus
systems.
PROJECT NOTES
12/28/12 -Projects can be implemented within 12 months and
project can be obligated within 12 months.  RTA has an
experienced procurement and program management staff and
is ready to begin procurement and deployment of the program
tasks once the notice of award for this project has been
granted.  RTA has previous success with completing larger
capital projects with the use of federal funds.  There are no
outstanding legal issues that would make this a high-risk
project to implement quickly.
