4-years of program funds to be awarded through competitive call-for-projects following TIP adoption. Projects must meet federal STP requirements and improve ITS/ Technology deployment or expand infrastructure to accommodate existing or future transit service or promote or implement various other transportation demand management strategies such as ridesharing, telecommuting, etc. Funding may be used to conduct transit alternatives analyses for regionally significant transit projects, implement a stand-alone transit project, or supplement an existing project to ensure the inclusion of the appropriate transit accommodations.
